Dr. David W. Kuo is a licensed chiropractor, exercise physiologist and professionally trained natural-healing practitioner who provides pain relief, rehab and holistic wellness services through HealthSource Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab in Pasadena, California.
Dr. Kuo is a proponent of proactive healing, working with patients of all ages and fitness levels to alleviate pain, regain physical ability and develop long-lasting strength and conditioning so they can live healthy, balanced lives.
Dr. Kuo believes in getting to the root cause of a problem, not just treating symptoms. He clearly explains the causes of pain, dysfunction and treatment procedures to educate and motivate patients to understand their body and health so they can be proactive. He also recommends complementary and alternative methods of holistic medicine to help his patients maintain an emotionally and structurally balanced lifestyle.
Using Contact Reflex Analysis and Functional Blood Chemistry, Dr. Kuo recommends the necessary dietary supplements patients need to function optimally. He also practices Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), a mind-body-emotion technique, and NAET, an allergy elimination technique, to diminish chronic structural malfunctions over a series of painless visits. Patients have found substantial relief from chronic allergies, migraines, fatigue, digestive disorders, and hyperactivity in children.
At HealthSource, Dr. Kuo oversees a team of practitioners including massage therapy, sports medicine and nutrition. Dr. Kuo also works with professional athletes - including surfers, basketball and volleyball players and martial arts - as well as weekend athletes to regain and enhance performance. He has also developed corporate and school fitness programs to promote a healthy lifestyle, and is certified in ergonomics and injury prevention.
Dr. Kuo speaks at community and corporate meetings, and is a supporter of numerous charitable organizations in the Pasadena area focused on providing services and opportunities for local children. He and his wife Nichole have two young children: Braydon and Rachel. When not taking care of his patients and family, he enjoys health-related reading, as well as hiking, bicycling, weight training and martial arts. He is proficient in Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu.
